Technical analysis

Bitcoin Faces Steep Correction Amid ETF Outflows and Trade Tensions

Bitcoin (BTC) continues its sharp decline, dropping over 15% this week to trade below $80,000 on Friday. This downturn erased $660 billion in crypto market capitalization and triggered $3.68 billion in liquidations. The sell-off intensified as US Bitcoin spot ETFs saw net outflows of $2.48 billion, reflecting waning institutional demand.

Further pressure came from macroeconomic uncertainties and US President Donald Trump’s tariff hikes on Canada, Mexico, and the EU. The Bybit hack, which saw $1.4 billion stolen, also eroded market confidence.
